Tiger Meet F-16
Most modelers have seen photos of the Belgian Air Force F-16 with the special paint scheme for the 1991 Tiger Meet.  The markings commemorated the 40th anniversary of the 31st squadron, 10 years of F-16 service at Kleine Brogel and the 30th anniversary of the Tiger Meet.  The entire airplane was covered with stripes, half of them in lo-vis colors and the remainder in bright yellow-orange and black.
Daco Products quickly issued a decal sheet to cover these markings.  It was complete with all of the individual stripes and markings and contained detailed four view drawings to show where the decals were to be positioned.  It took a few years for me to get up enough nerve to try this scheme but one winter, I decided to give it a try using one of the Fujimi Norwegian F-16 kits.  Here is how it came out.
I spent two or three weeks applying the decals.  I would add two or three decals per surface at a time.  After they were dry, I would add some more.  The decal sheet contained 222 individual stripe decals.  It was important to go slow and keep track of what you had used and were they were applied.
All in all, I was pleased with the final appearance of the model.  It has made me more of a Tiger Meet fan.  I will be adding other models to the collection.
