Venezuelan Air Force (FAV) F-16 Photos
I lived in Venezuela during the 80s and was fortunate enough to be living in Valencia when Venezuela received their initial twenty four F-16s, The aircraft were located at the Air Base in Maracay and most of the Tech Reps from General Dynamics lived in Valencia. Naturally, I made contact with them in order to get close to the planes and to obtain details regarding markings, camouflage etc. They turned my name into the FBI but became friendly after I was cleared.
The following photos were taken by one of the tech reps who had them developed by the local photo shop. The owner of the shop loved the photos and talked the tech rep into selling the negatives to him. He then printed up a number of copies and put them in his window for sale. I saw the photos and bought one of each. His next visitor was the Venezuelan Military Police. They said that the photos compromised the Venezuelan National Security and confiscated the negatives and all copies. These are probably the only copies available. Enjoy them. They show the unique Venezuelan camouflage and markings.
